Buying
How does Buyer Protection work?
When you pay, your money is held by Desi Closet — not the seller. We only release the funds to the seller once you confirm you've received the item, or 5 days after they mark it shipped (whichever comes first). If something's wrong, tap Report a problem on /orders within those 5 days.
Can I cancel before the item ships?
Yes — open /orders and hit Cancel & refund. Once the seller marks the item as shipped, you'll need to use Report a problem instead.
How do refunds reach me?
Stripe sends the refund back to the same card you paid with. It usually takes 5–10 business days.
Selling
Do I need to set up Stripe before I list?
No. List as soon as you join. We'll prompt you to add your bank details when you make your first sale — funds wait safely for you in the meantime.
How much does Desi Closet take?
An 8% platform fee on each completed sale. Buyers pay no extra fee.
When do I get paid?
About 2 business days after the buyer confirms delivery (or 5 days after you ship with no dispute). Stripe deposits straight to your bank.
Why is my listing "Pending review"?
All new listings get a quick admin check (counterfeit / banned items / clarity). Usually approved within a few hours. You'll be visible on /browse once approved.
